Different teachers and different departments within different schools will adopt varying methods and techniques in order to get the pupils in their care through  the course.  For this reason  the work on display here may vary somewhat from that to which you may be familiar.

The pupils should be encouraged to work to their strengths and not to the strengths of the teacher in order to gain an award.  If this is done then the variation across the class when showing the folios is much more diverse and interesting to both the pupils and the teachers alike.
