Design
There are other areas of the design process that you should become familiar with in order to be able to construct a more comprehensive and meaningful body of work. The ‘Specification’ needs to be correct for your purposes and you should also be aware of the many types of specifications that are commonly used. What a ‘Cutting List’ is and how you would prepare one, and also how to properly cost the materials, although this is more specific to senior pupils studying in this area. The ‘Evaluation’ and how to effectively employ the normal techniques to gain answers. ‘Modelling’, the different types, the stages at which modelling should be carried out, the typical materials used, and the purposes of each.
